Online Master’s Admissions at DigiPen

DigiPen Institute of Technology’s online graduate programs offer three start terms each year — fall, spring, and summer — allowing you to begin your studies when it best fits your schedule.

Application reviews are completed on a rolling basis. You are encouraged to begin the application process early to ensure sufficient time for transcript review and admissions evaluation.

Online Admissions Requirements

Admission to DigiPen Institute of Technology’s online master’s programs is designed for applicants with a technical foundation who are ready to deepen their expertise in fields such as artificial intelligence and game development.

To be considered for admission, you should meet the following baseline requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.5 is recommended
  • Completed application and supporting materials

Application Materials

To complete an application for DigiPen’s online graduate programs, submit the following materials:

  • Online application
  • Resume
  • Academic transcripts from all colleges attended
    • High school transcripts are not required for graduate-level applicants
  • Application fee: $60
    • Application fee is waived for Fall 2026.

Transcript Policy

All applicants must submit official transcripts from all colleges attended before they can be enrolled at DigiPen. Unofficial transcripts can typically be obtained yourself and can include in-progress courses.

Official transcripts should be mailed to:

DigiPen Institute of Technology
Attn: Office of Admissions

9931 Willows Rd. NE
Redmond, WA 98052

DigiPen can also accept transcripts submitted electronically by the issuing institution using the following services:

  • Parchment
  • eScrip-Safe
  • National Student Clearinghouse
  • SCOIR

DigiPen cannot accept opened, faxed, or emailed transcripts as official.
Applicants are responsible for the cost of the evaluation. To help alleviate the extra cost incurred, DigiPen will waive the application fee for students required to submit an external credential evaluation.

Optional Statement of Purpose Essay

Your optional statement of purpose essay can address the following points:

  • Walk us through your journey. What experiences, projects, moments, or inspirations guided you to a career in this field?
  • What is your primary motivation for getting an MS degree?

  • World Education Services
  • Educational Credential Evaluators
